Mobile Administration Program
Sandostatin LAR Depot
At your home, office, or destination—trained nurses can administer your injection,* at no charge to you
As a patient receiving Sandostatin® LAR Depot (octreotide acetate) for injectable suspension therapy, you know how important it is to keep your regularly scheduled appointments and get your injections exactly as prescribed. That’s why the Mobile Administration Program (MAP) was developed—to make coordinating your treatment a little easier.
If your doctor recommends you as an appropriate patient to participate in the program and you’re eligible, you’ll be able to receive your injections at home, at work, or while you’re traveling, administered by a MAP nurse who is trained in the mixing and administration of Sandostatin LAR Depot. To take advantage of this convenient way to receive your injections:
Find out from your doctor if you’re a candidate for MAP and check if you’re eligible
Work with your doctor to complete the enrollment form
* Limitations apply. Program is available only for patients with commercial insurance. Program is not available for patients insured by Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal or state program. Program is not available for residents of Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, or Rhode Island.
Important things to know about MAP
MAP does not replace your doctor’s care; you should still go to your regular doctor for checkups. MAP allows you to receive your injections at a time and location convenient for you
If you are new to Sandostatin LAR Depot, your first dose must be received in your doctor’s office
MAP Eligibility
The MAP is available to all eligible patients for whom Sandostatin LAR Depot has been prescribed for a US Food and Drug Administration–approved indication.
Residents of all states except Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, and Rhode Island can participate
MAP is available to eligible patients covered by most commercial plans (eg, HMO, PPO) generally available to patients with commercial insurance
The program is not available for patients insured by Medicare, Medicaid, or other federal or state programs
